Ciurlionis – In Pursuit of Soundscapes aims to showcase the music, paintings and literary works of Lithuanian artist Mikalojus Konstantinas Ciurlionis, an abstract art pioneer. Part of the Music Settlement's newly launched Signature Series, the concert will not only honor the recent 100th anniversary of the Republic of Lithuania's Independence Day, but it will also pay tribute to the Lithuanian community There will be a discussion of Ciurlionis' masterworks along with musical performances by Duo Zubovas, a Lithuanian piano duo that features two of Lithuania's most talented pianists, Sonata Deveikyte and Rokas Zubovas. The concert starts at 3 p.m. at Glick Recital Hall. Tickets are $25 for adults, and $10 for children. (Niesel)
