What happens when the last Holocaust survivor is no longer with us? Who will tell their story? The Maltz Museum is launching a first-of-its-kind effort in Cleveland to preserve Holocaust memory. Starting this July you can be part of the beta test of Stanley Bernath, a local Holocaust survivor, whose story has been memorialized as an interactive biography. Join us as we explore what it means to hear from and interact with hologram technology on a screen in our theater. Included with Museum admission

Mr. Gaga tells the story of Israeli-born Ohad Naharin, renowned choreographer and artistic director of the Batsheva Dance Company. Depicting an artistic genius who redefined the language of modern dance, the film recalls Naharin’s early upbringing in the kibbutz and its influence on him as an artist. A talk-back follows with Debra S. Yasinow, Director of Cleveland Israel Arts Connection. Haas, Abba Hillel Silver Professor Emeritus, in a conversation about Theodor Herzl, who died decades before the State of Israel’s establishment but is considered the country’s founding father. In October of 1891 Herzl was sent to Paris to cover the Dreyfus Affair, an experience that turned him into a Zionist as he envisioned a Jewish homeland. Herzl is famously quoted as saying, “If you will it, it is no dream.” Coffee will be served. Seating is limited and preregistration is highly recommended. Trees will be on display at all stages of development. Vendors will have trees, pots, and other supplies for sale. Demonstrations daily! Learn how these trees are selected, potted, wired, trimmed, and cared for from our club masters. While you're here, visit the beautiful greenhouses and gardens of Rockefeller Greenhouse.
