The Claudettes/Taylor Lamborn/Dire Wolf (in the Locker Room)

Tue., June 25, 8 p.m.
Mahall's 20 Lanes 13200 Madison Ave., Lakewood Western Suburbs

A Chicago-based blues act, the Claudettes tap into rockabilly and punk energy. Pianist Johnny Iguana who toured for years with his cult-favorite rock band oh my god, is also a member of the Grammy-nominated groups Chicago Blues — A Living History and the Muddy Waters 100 Band. He has toured/recorded with Junior Wells, Buddy Guy, Otis Rush and more, and that blues influence can heard on songs such as “California, Here I Come” and “Southbound Stroll.” The band comes to town tonight in advance of High Times in the Dark, a forthcoming album produced by Grammy-winner Ted Hutt (Violent Femmes, the Devil Makes Three, Old Crow Medicine Show, Lucero, Dustbowl Revival). 5j Barrow/Brendan & Caitlin Hearn (in the Supper Club)

Thu., June 27, 7:30 p.m.

5J Barrow's Eryn Merman has said her upbringing in “a really creative, very supportive of the arts family” gave her the motivation to pursue a career as an actress and singer. Murman formed 5j Barrow in 2011 when she met bandmate Jason Hite in San Jose, CA. They had worked on a play together and discovered they had much in common. They took their talents to New York and released their debut album, From the Dim Sweet Light, in 2014. Now based in Asheville, NC, the band just released its debt EP, The Journey: Vol. 3, an album of beautiful folk-inspired tunes that show off the group's harmony vocals. (Jeff Niesel) 216-242-1250
