Dancing Under the Stars

As a part of the 13-week outdoor dance series at Playhouse Square, local dance instructors will lead Dancing Under the Stars tonight, and every Tuesday night through Aug. 28, at U.S. Bank Plaza. Teachers from Get Hep Swing will teach you the Jitterbug/East Coast Swing; Red Light Roxy provides the music. Dance instruction will be available from 6 to 6:30. No one cares about stories more than young readers do. This workshop focuses on writing the kinds of stories they deserve. We'll consider character, narrative arc, voice, humor, and writing strong themes (without being didactic!) Participants should bring work in progress for gentle and productive group critique. Picture books, chapter books and middle grade fiction will be emphasized, but writers of YA and non-fiction are also welcome. For anyone with work in progress. $80 / 60 for Lit Cleveland members
