The first land purchased for Cleveland Metroparks can be seen from the Stinchcomb-Groth Memorial. The character of the reservation is strongly influenced by the Rocky River. Massive shale cliffs rise above the willows, sycamores, and cottonwoods, and many trails wind through the valley's deep floodplain forests, meadows, and wildflowers.

The course has a pleasant layout and a challenging golf course. A high-volume course with a good staff, Ironwood Golf Course is a par-71 public course located on 155 rolling acres. Designed by Harold Paddock, the course first opened in 1967. Since then, it has continued to be one of the most popular public courses in the area.

Euclid Creek Reservation is named for the Euclid Creek, which runs the length of the reservation. It features wooded hillsides, where the rare rock-chestnut oak grows. The reservation is located in Euclid, South Euclid, and Richmond Heights.
