The Cuyahoga Valley National Park protects 33,000 acres along the banks of the Cuyahoga River. Though such a short distance from urban environments, the park is worlds away. The winding Cuyahoga -- the "crooked river," as Native Americans called it -- gives way to rolling floodplain, steep valley walls, ravines, and lush upland forests. The park is a refuge for flora and fauna, and provides both recreation and solitude for Northeastern Ohio residents and visitors.

The locker-room nameplates read like a Who's Who in the world of golf. It's a purist's course for those who enjoy and accept the total challenge of the game. The clubs also boasts a great course that demands a complete game.

Named after the many boulders natural to the site, the Boulder Creek Golf Club is an 18-hole, championship-caliber golf course on approximately 200 acres devoted exclusively to the golf course.

It's a good municipal course that offers an enjoyable experience. Recent changes now have the course in better shape.

You've gotta love Romeo's pizzas, award-winning numbers made from mountains of savory toppings slathered in tangy sauce and loaded onto thick but remarkably tender crusts — and so delicious that they've taken pizza-meister Sean Brauser all the way to the World Pizza Championships in Italy. Romeo's menu also offers calzones, stromboli, salads, and sandwiches; except for one small table, it's carryout only at this bustling little spot.
This new course offering will become one of the area's best. The layout is outstanding, and the use of the property is great. It's a true shot-maker's course, but needs several years to mature.
