Ohio Supreme Court Justice and gubernatorial candidate Bill O'Neill has spent the weekend apologizing for a Facebook post on Friday in which he boasted about sleeping with 50 "very attractive" women and "speaking on behalf of heterosexual males" in the wake of allegations against celebrities and politicians. The post drew widespread criticism, especially for conflating consensual sex among adults and sexual assault and harassment.
He has since spent the weekend apologizing (sort of) and attempting to clarify his comments. In a Saturday post to his Facebook page, O'Neill wrote:
