The memorial was in honor of five-year-old Jordan Rodriguez, the son of Larissa. Yesterday, investigators found the body of a five-year-old boy buried in the back yard. Cleveland.com reported that the body was found after two days of searching by local and federal law enforcement. (It is presumed to be Jordan, though has not yet been identified as such by the county medical examiner.)
Larissa Rodriguez was arrested Monday on suspicion of murder. She is being held in city jail but has not yet been formally charged. Her boyfriend, Christopher Rodriguez, is currently serving a six-month sentence in Medina County Jail for failing to pay child support.
According to Christopher Rodriguez's brother, who called local officials from Pakistan Monday, both Larissa and Christopher buried Jordan in the backyard several months ago after they found him unresponsive. Jordan was developmentally disabled and could not speak.
When investigators first asked Larissa where Jordan was, she told them he was in Houston with his biological father. She claimed an aunt had picked him up on Dec. 2, but could provide no contact information for either the aunt or the father.
Via Fox 8's I-Team, County Social Services have had multiple interactions with Larissa Rodriguez. They even removed her two oldest children from her custody several years back. The four children who lived with Rodriguez until Monday were taken into emergency custody before her arrest.
