The Felix Culpa

With the Holy Fire. 7 p.m. Monday, June 5, $6 (all ages). The Orange Street, 951 S. Main St., Akron, 330-374-9700.

Illinois' the Felix Culpa deals in edgy guitars, erratic beats, fractured non-harmonies, and raw-nerve screaming that stops well short of screamo. And the band also dabbles in the LST (Long Song Titles) genre, as in "The First One to the Scene of an Accident Always Gets Blood on Their Pants." Of late, the post-hardcore buzz band has been bouncing around the country with the likes of Spitalfield, Dr. Manhattan, and Cleveland's own the Lovekill. So, as singer-guitarist Mark Hladish asks in that spirited track, what are you waiting for?
