1300 goes out with a bang tonight. The gallery closes up shop for good after the simultaneous opening and closing reception for Please God Save Us From Your Followers, which features work by Derek Hess and Bask. Two of the areas most popular and original artists unveil new pieces that explore the Republican Party and its relationship with the religious right. Its a stunning, thought-provoking show -- exactly the type the gallery has excelled at during its six-year lifespan. Both artists will meet and greet visitors at tonights outing.
