Illuminated dancers and humongous puppets lead a procession of lights as the Cleveland Museum of Art celebrates the holidays at the Lantern Festival. The winter carnival starts inside the museum, where curator Jane Glaubinger shares some of her favorite pieces in the Modern Masters exhibit. At 2 p.m., everyone can create a simple Tiffany-style lantern to carry in the parade. They can also file into the Ingalls Library to hear stories about the art world from Plain Dealer reporter Sharon Broussard, WVIZ-TV manager Ella Fong, and FBI specialist Colleen Brown. The Cleveland Boys Choir then takes the stage for a 4 p.m. concert of holiday tunes. By 5:30 p.m., the procession steps off from the museum's north entrance for a half-hour walk to Wade Oval, where marchers will plant their lanterns in the Environment of Lights installation.
