Josh Trust was hired as a Vice President and the Chief Revenue Officer of Advance Ohio, the controlling company for Cleveland.com, in late September 2017.
His arrival was trumpeted with a Q&A on the site with his thoughts on digital media, local reporting, advertising, sales and revenue.
He lasted less than four months on the job. Sources said Trust is no longer with the company.
His profile page on Advance Ohio's site now goes to a 404 error. As for when his departure occurred, that's unclear. He was quoted in his capacity as VP in a Cleveland.com article about a possible sale of the company's building at 1801 Superior Ave. to the city for use as a new police headquarters
on Jan. 17, 2018.
Sources said he was successful on the revenue front but had few details as to the reasons for his departure — i.e. whether he quit or was fired. We've heard rumblings about the circumstances but no official word. If you have any information do feel free to get in touch.
Advance Ohio editor and president Chris Quinn didn't respond to multiple requests for comment.
A message sent to Josh Trust's Facebook account wasn't returned.
