"Northern chapter of the KKK"

I am a resident of Euclid for over 30 years. I also work in the city. We own a beautiful home and have no interest or desire to move out. Our house is in the top 10% of property values. We have much invested in our community. Our neighbors are a mixed lot and all wonderful people to live around. Lake County people and the News Herald all want to look down their noses at Euclid and us residents because we are a diverse city. The Plain Dealer and your story ["New Black City," November 8] would have us look like the northern chapter of the KKK. Why is Euclid the topic of so much press and discussion? Why don't you focus on Hudson or Mentor or one of the other of dozens of cities that have not embraced change? Eventually this will all succeed in creating a self-fulfilling prophecy. Then you can all say "See, I told you so." Rich Weybrecht Euclid
