Cleveland cellist Tara Hanish Klein to play Grammys with Foo Fighters

One of our favorite local bands, string-enhanced mood-rockers Unsparing Sea, will be without their cello player this weekend. Tara Hanish Klein has been in Los Angeles all week, prepping for her gig with the Foo Fighters at the Grammys on Sunday. Klein won a YouTube contest for string players to accompany the Foos onstage. She’s one of three auxiliary musicians tapped to perform “The Pretender” with the band on Sunday. One of Klein’s bandmates told us that there’ll probably be a cello solo – which means major TV face time for Klein. Or at least major hand time. -- Michael Gallucci
