Jason Tyner Had a Cup of Coffee With the Tribe, Traded Today To Detroit For Less Than Than a Cup of Coffee

Jason Tyner was a member of the Indians for a brief moment of time back in 2008 before being designated for assignment in May. Today, he was traded from the Brewers to the Tigers, for apparently nothing at all.

Dan Lunetta, the Tigers’ director of minor league operations, said the Brewers assigned Tyner’s contract to the Detroit organization. It didn’t appear that any cash or other players were involved in the transaction.

Let us remember Tyner as he once was, because his most famous Cleveland-related moment didn't even come when he was a member of the Tribe. If you remember, it was when he hit his first ever home run against Jake Westbrook after going 1220 dingerless at-bats, a record at the time.

Go get 'em, Tiger.
