Anyone going to House of Blues tonight to catch Third Eye Blind might want to get there early to hear Nashville-based quartet Hot Chelle Rae. The group, whose CD Lovesick Electric is out today on Zomba/Jive, has a walloping, infectious dance-rock sound somewhat along the lines of the Bravery, the Killers or Cleveland’s This Is a Shakedown! But the group also has a hidden connection to Northeast Ohio. Bassist Ian Keaggy is the son of legendary guitarist Phil Keaggy, who is best known here from his early ’70s stint with Glass Harp. The Youngstown-based band released three albums on Decca in 1971 and 1972 and were phenomenally popular in the area, packing local high schools, clubs and church halls almost every weekend. The senior Keaggy left the group in the summer of 1972 and went on to a high-profile Christian-music career, which he continues to pursue. Check out his son’s band at myspace.com/hotchellerae or hotchellerae.com. Showtime is 8:30; tickets are $31. — Anastasia Pantsios
