Tenafly Viper — the stalled Mushroomhead Southern rock/metal side project featuring frontman Waylon, drummer Skinny, Chimaria bassist Jim LaMarca and Autumn Offering guitarist Tommy Church — will play a short set at Mushroomhead's Halloween concert at the Agora Theater. It will be the band's only live appearance for some time.
Tenafly recorded a full album in 2008, but put the disc on the shelf when Church's contract with Victory Records left him entangled.
For this show, Mushroomhead guitarist Gravy will fill in for LaMarca, who's out of town on his honeymoon. Skinny says the band will play four or five songs, including the whiskey-soaked "Reno," which the group shot a video for (see above).
The group will take the stage early. The full lineup for the show also includes Foose CD, Straight Line Stitch, Ventana, Mutiny Within, and Crossbreed. Doors 7 p.m., tickets $28. —D.X. Ferris
