11/4: Shaolin Warriors

If you mix Chinese Buddhism with Cirque de Soleil’s theatricality and Bruce Lee’s strength and agility, you’ll probably end up with something like China’s Shaolin Warriors. Their fully choreographed and highly theatrical production offers a rare view into the Shaolin Monastery, the place made famous in the old Kung Fu TV show. The Warriors’ performance is built around the four seasons and provides insight into their meditative practice. It’s also a great showcase for their striking physical skill and discipline. It’s part of the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Viva and Gala Around Town Series. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. at the Ohio Theatre (1511 Euclid Ave., 216.421.7350, ). It’s sold out. — Michael Gill
