Here's How To Support The LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland for National Give OUT Day

Today marks National Give OUT Day, the only national day of giving for the LGBTQ community. Today focuses on a 24-hour online fundraising event that unites donors and nonprofit organizations from across the country to raise critically needed funds.

For Cleveland attorney and Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Community Center of Greater Cleveland (The Center) Board of Directors member Justin Gould, it's so much more than just monetary donations. Gould has agreed to match any donations until he reaches his goal of raising $1,000 for Give OUT Day. According to his fundraising page, "In this season of resistance, it is more important than ever to invest in and support the people, places, and organizations that sustain us."

The Center is a leading nonprofit organization that empowers Northeast Ohio’s LGBTQ community through advocacy, education, collaboration and celebration. Additionally, The Center serves as a welcoming and visible place to unite the community for resources, support, connections and programming. Educational opportunities, health services, advocacy training and year round social events for the LGBTQ community and allies are also offered at the space.

The Center is set to re-open its doors in a new space in the Detroit Shoreway neighborhood on June 2nd. Funds raised provide much needed support for core operations improvement, which enables the center to deliver excellent programs and services necessary to effectively serve northeast Ohio's LGBTQ community.
