The rebellious and ornery Ron White isn’t going out with his funny pals on the current Blue Collar Comedy tour. It’s not that White, a clever, straight-shooter of a stand-up, has anything against Blue Collar king Jeff Foxworthy. White will be the first to tell you Foxworthy changed his life. A decade ago, White worked at a factory in Mexico and was suicidal about his financial situation. Foxworthy, who has sold more CDs than any other comedian, rescued White and gave him a slot on the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. It all worked out for the politically incorrect, offbeat White, who loves scotch and cigars and looks like Nick Nolte after a three-year bender. He calls his current comedy show the Behavioral Problems Tour. There’s no pretension to his jokes, and that helps him stand out. White recently announced that he’s not going to be performing for that many more years, so this might be one of your last chances to catch a comic who, in the tradition of George Carlin, couldn’t care less about what anyone thinks.
