Look for Chinese New Year celebrations all over town during the next couple of weeks. One of the best places to celebrate the Year of the Tiger is at Asia Plaza (2999 Payne Ave.) in the heart of Cleveland’s rapidly growing AsiaTown. From 11 a.m.-7 p.m. today, it’ll host exhibit booths, food and performances — including the Chinese lion dance, an ancient (1,000-year-old) custom evoking celebration and joy. In it, a pair of performers swathed in an elaborate costume — acting as the animal’s head and rear legs— executes specific movements to percussion accompaniment. The dance is hosted by the plaza’s Li Wah Restaurant, where you can feast on dim sum as you cheer on the performers. — Anastasia Pantsios
