Free outdoor movie watching season is back in Cleveland, and thankfully, as the weather continues to warm up, a slew of area parks and organizations are hosting these family-favorite events. Be sure to have your blankets, bug spray and picnic baskets ready.
COVENTRY P.E.A.C.E. PARK

Family-friendly movies in the park begin this Thursday at 9 p.m., weather permitting. Check the Facebook event for updates on if screenings will be held in Ensemble Theatre due to rain or some other ungodly summer precipitation. Lawn blankets are encouraged, and pre-movie fun begins at 8 p.m. in the Heights Library.

Asphalt Cinema continues its tradition of being a part of Walk On Wednesdays, where patrons can enjoy activities, food, music and more. The lineup is still being finalized, but movie nights will take place June 15, July 20 and Aug. 18.

This Cleveland Metropark really dives into its outdoor movie events, as films will be screened in front of a pool. Reserve a single inner tube for $6 or a double for $8 by calling 330-239-2911. If the water isn't your scene, or you truly want this to be a no-cost experience, you can grab a spot on the lawn. Movies will start around 8:45 p.m., depending on that day's sunset.
