Sleaze rockers Buckcherry recently released a benefit song to aid "victims of the [BP] oil spill — both human and animal." It's a noble gesture, but most fans will probably spend more time with the ballsier, retro sounds of "It's a Party," "Recovery," and "Dead." Or maybe even the fantastically catchy title track to their fifth album. Because when it comes to having the kind of fun you want to have with Buckcherry, "rollin' with the guitar strum" and "bangin' your head to the drums" all night long are going to win out over a few minutes of contemplating U.S. foreign policy every time. Produced by hard-rock vet Marti Frederiksen, All Night Long is a riff-heavy, groove-driven, overall better record than what we should expect from Buckcherry 15 years into their career. And for that they're to be commended. — Jeremy Henderson
