An analog recording facility that prides itself on “combining the beauty of analog recording with the industry standard digital recording mediums to create a timeless sound,” Akron Recording Company will host an open house event at 6 p.m. on Friday. The event will feature performances by White Buffalo Women, Floco Torres, the Beyonders and Time Cat.
The studio recently moved to the Whitespace Creative building (243 Furnace St., Akron), a space that features a recording studio and live venue. Bands performing at the event are those featured on ARC’s newly released compilation album, Where the Hell is Akron, OH?
In between bands, DJ Andrew Novak will spin funk and soul records. The event will also include a raffle for a free recording sessions.
Admission is free, but donations for the bands will be encouraged. It's BYOB.
