Being a Process Server Sounds Fun

Delivering subpoenas is, understandably, not the most glorious profession. People ducking you, threatening you, yelling at you, etc. It's one of those jobs where "Don't shoot the messenger" is elevated from metaphorical cliche to practical advice.

Take the following docket entry in Vega v. AJ Wright: CV-10-741311.

SUBPOENA FOR: LISA DAVIS SERVED SEPT 25, 2011 AS FOLLOWS: UPON ARRIVING AT RESIDENCE I NOTICED A CLIPBOARD WITH A MESSAGE ATTACHED THAT STATED "ANY MESSAGES OR DELIVERIES ARE TO BE ATTACHED TO THIS CLIPBOARD, TREASPASSERS WILL BE SHOT" I ATTACHED THE SUBPOENA TO THE CLIPBOARD AT 6:00 P.M

(Thanks to the tipster who put up the flare on this one.)
