Kid Cudi is no stranger to having meltdowns onstage and off.
So it should come as no surprise that the Cleveland-born rapper threw a fit onstage at this past weekend's Heatwave Music Festival in Melbourne.
The fest's promoters shut down Cudi's mic during his set, which led Mr. Rager into a rage-filled and Hulk-like demolition of some of the equipment onstage.
As you can see from the above video, Cudi wasn't in a very good mood after finding out that none of the onstage mics worked.
Cudi later wrote on Tumblr, “If my set is EVER cut short at any show, im trashing the stage.” Duly noted.
Apparently all this started after the fest's opening act started three hours late, pushing everyone else's sets back. In order to make up the time, sets were cut short, including Cudi's. But dude wasn't having any of it.
Moral of the story: If you're the lead act at a music festival, don't be a dick. Get your opening-ass onstage on time.
Still, Cudi's onstage destruction isn't all that impressive (seriously, dude, you're flicking shit off stands?). He should give Pete Townshend a call for tips on how to do this right next time. —Michael Gallucci
