Thanks to the impending polar vortex, many Northeast Ohio places are planning to close this Wednesday, including schools, universities and also ski resorts.

As FOX 8 is reporting that the Midwest will actually be warmer than Antarctica this week, it makes sense that Brandywine, and Alpine Valley have all posted on their websites the decision to close. However Boston Mills, which is right next to Brandywine, will remain open Jan. 30 as of now.

Anyone planning to ski or snowboard still is advised to cover every inch of skin and take breaks whenever necessary.

Warming centers are poised to open all around Cleveland for anyone in need. Find those locations right here.
