Earlier today, singer-songwriter Frank Turner, one of the UK’s most successful solo artists of the last decade, announced the dates for a U.S. tour.

The jaunt includes a May 9 stop at the Agora.

The tour supports Turner's latest album, Be More Kind, a political album about how to approach conservatives trying to disrupt democracies with their nationalist agendas.

“You should at least be able to inhabit the mental universe of the people you disagree with,” says Turner in a press release about the tour that features both him and his backing band, the Sleeping Souls. “I think Donald Trump is awful, but I think if you wish to see Donald Trump not be elected for a second term, then, there is a need to figure out how to talk to Donald Trump supporters that is something else other than screaming at them.”

The folk duo Shovels and Rope will open the show.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday.
