The Tunnels Beneath Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument Open to the Public April 27

[image-1] Downtown Cleveland's Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, which commemorates the Civil War, has an underside you may not know about.

Saturday, April 27, the public is invited to explore the tangle of tunnels that run underneath the stone and metal memorial that keep everything standing upright.

The tour, which only happens once a year, is free and reservations are not necessary (but tips and donations are of course accepted). Anyone in line before 4 p.m. is guaranteed a tour.
