The season three winner of American Idol, Fantasia capitalized on her success from that TV program with her platinum-selling debut album Free Yourself.
She’s continued to release albums and expand her range of artistic interests as well. In 2006, she released her New York Times best-selling memoir, Life Is Not a Fairytale, and starred as herself in the Lifetime movie of the same name. The following year, she played Celie in Broadway's The Color Purple, and she returned to Broadway in 2013 to star in After Midnight.
Earlier today, she announced the dates of her 29-city, North American tour with Robin Thicke and the Bonfyre. She performs on Nov. 8 at the State Theatre.
The show will feature songs from her back catalog and a few tunes from her soon-to-be-released studio album, Sketchbook.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Sept. 6.
