Perhaps Cleveland’s most popular cover band, the Breakfast Club will play two final shows this weekend with singer Dave Brooks who’s leaving the group to, as it’s put on the band’s website, “try something new.” Hopefully, that means Brooks, who was once described as “semi-homeless” in a Scene cover story that documented his trials and tribulations in great detail, has found full-time work and can’t bleach his hair blonde or excessively tan any more. The group, which also includes former Warrant axe man Billy Morris, plays on Friday at Flyers in Parma Heights and on Saturday at Slim & Chubby’s in Strongsville where you can hear '80s hits like "Feels Like the First Time" for the last time with Brooks as the frontman.
