- Giant Eagle, perennial grocer of choice for many in Northeast Ohio, announced that it will discontinue the Foodperks program, per The PD. A spokesperson claimed the program had become too complicated to maintain, citing customer concerns. It's not a huge loss, as any Giant Eagle devotee would likely explain, but before your heart seizes up, fear not: The company has no plans to do away with the near religious Fuelperks program.
