For shoppers who are always looking for more local produce at the West Side Market, relief is on the way. Starting tomorrow, Rooted in Cleveland will offer a full spread of locally and organically grown produce. The stand will be located at the far end of the produce annex.

"We're not farmers, we're restaurant people, but we a have lot of experience shopping at the market," explains partner Hunter Harlor, whose folks Tom and Joy run the delightful Le Petit Triangle in Ohio City. "We're hoping to provide some of the stuff we always wished existed here."

Working with local urban farmers like Cleveland Crops, Refugee Response and City Fresh, the Harlors will offer seasonal fare "every hour that the market is open — until we sell out," he says.

Starting tomorrow the stand will sell greens, lettuces, kale, carrots, beets, radishes, and other early summer crops. They also will soon sell Rising Star whole bean coffee.

Find them at stands 76 & 78 in the southern corridor of the produce terminal.
