They took different, yet familiar paths of the thousands who came before them, and have followed since.And they’re among the select few who know the cost of defending their country and what it takes to be honored on Veterans Day.
It’s a price they willingly paid, and would again.

- The Chronicle-Telegram is featuring a story about Sam Felton Jr.'s time serving in Vietnam and returning home to Lorain. “Nobody wins in war,” he told the paper, “except those who supply the ammunition.”
- A father and son told their stories of service in wartime to the Medina Gazette. Long before John Bragiel served in Afghanistan, his father, Norman, served in World War II.
- A Willoughby veteran recounted his experiences at the Battle of Bulge in today's News-Herald.
- In the Akron Beacon Journal today, David Redle, World War II tank commander, described losing 50 soldiers during the war. He prayed daily, he said, explaining how he was able to survive.
