The Lighthouse and the Whaler to Release Remix EP

With 2012’s This Is an Adventure, local indie rockers the Lighthouse and the Whaler established themselves as a national act. Recorded with producer Ryan Hadlock (the Lumineers, the Gossip, Ra Ra Riot), the album features pristine pop music that shows off the band’s sharp songwriting skills. Now, the band’s set to release a remix EP, and it’s just premiered a remix of the single "Venice" by Savoir Adore. The Savior Adore remix loops a few more vocals into the mix and adds some bleeps and blips that give the song a bit more texture. Due out June 10, the EP includes remixes by Ft. Chancellor Warhol and Adam Snow as well as an acoustic version of "Venice." Originally featured on This Is An Adventure, "Venice" has gotten more than one million plays on Spotify. The band’s currently on tour supporting fellow indie rocker Matt Pond PA. It’ll be back in town to play House of Blues Cambridge Room on June 17. It’s also working on a new studio album that’s due out next year.
