UPDATE: Just a reminder that Visible Voice Books in Tremont will be closing its doors this coming Saturday. All books in the store remain 40 percent off, and though the shelves are depleted, there are still ample titles to accommodate your autumn reading frenzy. Send 'em off with a bang.
It's a real bummer to report the following, straight from the horse's mouth:
VVB will be closing on Sept. 27, 2014 after 7 years of operation. Effective today thru 9/27 all books will be discounted at 40%...cont'd

Owner Dave Ferrante told the NEOMG that the store simply became too difficult to manage with a daughter and an additional full-time job. Plus, he said, foot traffic isn't what it once was, even in artsy Tremont.
"People spend a lot of time watching sports and on social media," Ferrante said. "The readers just aren't there the way they used to be."
