Miami Sports Talk Hosts Say Mean Things About Cleveland, Seek Attention

Two radio hosts on a Miami-area sports talk station took the upcoming Heat vs. Cavs game as an opportunity to say nonsensical things about the city of Cleveland to get listeners and the internet riled up. Their guest during the choice part of the conversation was Chris Broussard, noted transcriber of Maverick Carter's thoughts, ESPN employee, and former Akron Beacon Journal scribe.

You can Google for yourself and find out who they were and what station pays them money to open their gaping maws for a few hours each day to release noxious fumes toward microphones. Here's a bit about the segment, which should be enough for anyone.

“Some people actually move from Miami to Cleveland,” Broussard said on the [radio show], alluding to LeBron James’ shocking withdrawal from South Florida last summer. [Radio Host 1] swung back hard.

“America should make Cleveland our national graveyard,” [Radio Host 1] said. “When a loved one dies, you bury them in Cleveland. That way you increase tourism there because if you ever want to visit your loved one they’re in this national cemetery in Cleveland.”

Broussard’s responded by irresponsibly calling Cleveland “underrated,” pointing out the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is there. But Miami’s duo would have none of it.

“Well, after you lay your loved one to rest you can visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,” [Radio Host 2] said.
