Nonprofit Grants Wishes for Easter Meals to Families in Need

A Special Wish Foundation Cleveland Chapter (ASW) is no stranger to delivering food to more than 55 Cleveland-area Wish families, who spend the majority of their time in local hospitals during the holidays. But for Easter, A Special Wish has decided to kick things up a notch.

"This Easter Sunday, ASW is proud and humbled to be able to feed all the children and their families at the Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital," says Jason Beudert, co-founder of ASW’s Cleveland Chapter.

The foundation reached out to four of its 30-some restaurant partners that are open on Easter Sunday. Sterle's Country House, AMP 150, Urban Farmer Steakhouse and Burntwood Tavern Solon all offered to donate Easter meals for groups of up to 25 people.

In total, the foundation will be feeding over 100 Cleveland Clinic Children's in-patient children and their families. On Sunday, ASW volunteers will pick up the meals from the restaurants and deliver them to the Ronald McDonald House Room, which is located inside the Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital. These generous restaurants will donate holiday classics such as ham, chicken, and beef, but also plenty of tasty surprises such as pierogies, sausage and kraut, and specially made desserts.

"To be able to partner with ASW to the bring Easter dinner to these children is a wonderful thing for us to be a part of,” says, Jeff Jarrett, executive chef at Sterle's Country House.
