Songwriter, bassist, record producer, actor and manager Danny Sheridan worked behind the scenes to help turn country singer David Allan Coe into an outlaw country superstar. He can also lay claim to a long list of accomplishments in the rock world too.
Sheridan, who kicked around Cleveland a few decades ago with the country-ish Eli Radish Band, passed away on May 24.
On Monday, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will host a funeral for Sheridan. The event will begin at 7 p.m. with a eulogy by Sheridan's spouse, Reverend Angelle Sheridan. Those who attend are encouraged to “speak their hearts and minds” when Sheridan passes “the talking stick."
At 8 p.m., the service will conclude with the launch of a miniature Viking ship at Voinovich Bicentennial Park. The ship will contain a handful of Sheridan's ashes and notes from family, friends and fans. A reception follows at 9 p.m. at Cebars Euclid Tavern, which will host the Danny Sheridan Memorial Open Mic Night.
