Local Rockers Golden Streets of Paradise Release Full-Length Debut

Cauliflower Audio, the locally based company that provides full-service analog mastering for CD, vinyl, cassette and digital download, keeps local musician and producer Adam Boose plenty busy.

But he somehow still found time to finish a new Golden Streets of Paradise album. He plays drums and provides programming in the local group that also features singer-guitarist Myk Porter.

In 2014, the band released its debut EP, The Sun Is Everything, which was recorded and mixed by Hunter Davidsohn (Frankie Cosmos, Porches) at Business District Recording in New York. Rave reviews followed. Cellar Door Cleveland called it "the best rock record to come out of the 216 in years."

For its latest release, World War, the band recruited Grammy Award-winning engineer, Rae DiLeo (Filter and Henry Rollins) to mix the thing. The band's full-length debut, the album commences with the hard driving “White Glove/Black Horizon,” a tune that features a balanced mix of electronic and organic instrumentation while making the most of surging guitars. Rattling drums drive the Filter-like "Monsters," a song that alternates between pop and industrial rock.

Overall, the album is a solid effort that builds upon the initial EP. The album is currently streaming on Soundcloud and available on iTunes as well.
