The National Sports Collectors Convention starts up this weekend in Chicago, but next year, the roving national event comes back to Cleveland.

Held Aug. 1-5 in the International Exposition Center, this is the seventh time Cleveland has hosted the sports memorabilia event, which celebrates collectors of things like athletic trading cards, autographs and bobble heads.

Ray Schulte, president and CEO of Schulte Sports, told Cleveland.com he's thrilled for the event to come back to Cleveland, as last time the convention was held here in 2014, attendance was the third highest in NSCC's 38 years.

"We love Cleveland," Schulte added. "It does have a rich history, sports history, so it's been a show favorite for us. We keep going back there for us. It's a great venue, a great location."
