Cedar Lee Theatre to Celebrate 30 Years of Screening ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’

The Heights Art Theater started screening The Rocky Horror Picture Show on a regular basis until the theater closed in 1988. The cult classic then found a new home when it debuted at the Cedar Lee Theatre on Saturday, Sept. 17, 1988.

The film has shown there on the first Saturday of each month ever since.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the monthly screenings, the Cedar Lee Theatre will expand its regular Rocky Horror schedule and show the film at 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 16.

In addition, Simply His Servants, a local Rocky Horror cast, will present a live floorshow during the screening, and there will be additional live and pre-recorded performances in the preshow from Rocky Horror casts from all over the country.

Tickets are $9.75. Come in costume to get a buck off the price of admission.
