One of their favorites, Michael Charles is returning to fat Fish Blue Friday October 7th 2011!!
Michael Charles, guitarist extraordinaire, is a six time Grammy elected artist with a discography of 25 releases. Originally brought from Australia to the USA by Buddy Guy, MC tours USA, Canada, and Australia extensively.
The magic of Michael Charles reveals a lifetime of musical and career accomplishments which span the decades and the oceans.
Born in Australia with a soul full of blues, Charles did not “choose” music, music chose Michael Charles, so by age twelve MC took to the stage and to the road . Learning from the “masters” the foundation was laid solid for building his own design of blues and blues rock. With MC’s wild, raw, but miraculously controlled guitar performances, his instrument is always kept forefront and the focal point of the show as he gives out every ounce of energy through songs from his 25 releases.
The move to America in 1990 satisfied a long-time personal deep interest in the USA and answered a calling from the management of MC’s hero, Buddy Guy, to appear at Legends. As with many decisions in his life, he made it and never looked back.
Along with the stage, Charles is no stranger to radio, television, and press. His music and remarkable life story have been the feature of many presentations. In the awards category MC has been recognized by the Grammy’s electing him in six different Grammy years, including the 52nd Grammy awards year in 2010 as well as the 53rd for 2011, for numerous categories for his CD releases which to date number twenty-five.
At the present time Michael travels for his Connected 2011 tour which will take him to the far corners of the USA, Canada, and Australia. The tour tags significant meaning to; the promotion of Charles’ Connected CD along with the newly released My Shadow re-master, connecting the dots of new venues for 2011 with encores in venues from 2010, along with connecting the world through performances in USA, Canada, and Australia. Fat Fish Blue Is about FOOD, FUN and FRIENDS. Creative Louisiana-Creole cooking and a relaxed atmosphere create the perfect setting for a business lunch, dinner with friends or an evening of late-nite libations, dancing and debauchery. Parties from 10 to 400 are welcome (no kidding, but please call ahead!).
On Saturday June 28th see 3 time Grammy elected Australian Blue Rock artist, Michael Charles. On his internation Recall Tour 2009, Michael brings in his band to Fat Fish Blues for a full live electric show Saturday night followed by a full band acoustic show Sunday afternoon 4PM on the 28th.
