Re: “Chagrin Valley Little Theatre

Chagrin Valley Little Theatre never ceases to turn in high quality entertainment at budget prices. The year-round season of plays, musicals and special events often rivals the quality seen on much pricier stages, but at under $20 a head. Definitely worth the drive out to the quaint village of Chagrin Falls!

Re: “The Origins and Evolution of the Cleveland Accent (Yes, You Have an Accent, Cleveland)

My wife, who was raised largely out in Madison, closer to Ashtabula, definitely has the nasal "a" / added "y", but as someone who grew up in the eastern burbs of Cleveland, I don't have any of that in my own voice, even though I recognize it in others'. Maybe it's because I have always been involved in theater and audio, and therefore have spoken with the 'neutral pronunciation' by nature. Beats me. The 'Cleveland accent' definitely exists, but it's not as ubiquitous as this article makes it seem.

Re: “Video: "This Is Our Town," Progressive Insurance's Ode to Cleveland

The 'whiteness' of the video didn't strike me quite so much as the lack of any depiction of Cleveland during the third of the year when it's not warm and sunny out. :) But still, it's a great video and includes a nice smattering of 'outside of downtown' stuff like Chagrin Falls, Squire's Castle, and so on.

LOL. Next time I get pulled over, I'm going to tell the officer that I was 'unfamiliar with the intersection' and see how far that gets me.

Re: “The Wait is Over, Gamers: Tabletop Café Opens This Friday

How do they intend to maintain seat turnover? If people are playing board games, they're going to stay put in those 75 seats for a longer time than they might in an average coffee shop. That means less sales and less chance of finding a seat. No?

Re: “Claddagh Irish Pub to Close After 11 Years at Legacy Village

Also, they changed their menu and got rid of most of the stuff I liked and their amazing Monte Cristo sandwich went downhill. Pub over at Beachwood Place is a fine substitute.
