This is a racist issue! Marijuana possession is not mentioned. Many minorities are jailed for possessing and selling this substance. When the Opiod "Epidemic' became a White problem, measures are introduced as legislative attempts to reduce possession and illegal use to a misdemeanor! Reduction of 25% of sentences as an "exchange" is negating and devaluing the due process of the courts,! I agree that all substance abusers and addicts need intervention,--but not at the expense of reducing sentences that have nothing to do with this crisis.
