As I look stock behind any bar, I can't help wonder why 70% or better is Vodka, 15% Tequila, 8% Rum, with the balance Scotch and Bourbon. When did Americans develop a taste for Isopropanol?. I don't understand Gen X and Gen Y's obsession with a neutral base spirit.
I ordered a shot of Knob Creek at my local hangout, someone thought I was drinking Scotch. They seemed to be taken aback, thinking I was some sort of he-man when I responded it was Bourbon.
There is a point in you life when your mother cut the power to your basement computer, forces you to shave and get a hair cut. Then orders you take a bath and find a place of your own. The Octopooper this will eventually wear thin. Grow up and get a job.
What can I say? I used to be a Clevehooder. Since moving to Willotopia, I have yet to pickup used condoms or Old English empties while cutting the lawn. I do miss the action though. No gunshots ringing out into the night nor surpluses of squad car sirens.
Grossi's attack was a personal attack. It was unwarranted. People ofter say stuff under the animosity of the web that they wouldn't say in person for fear of getting their ass kicked.
Let me restate it in more civilized form:
Al Davis burned for Football.
Paul Brown burned for Football
Art Rooney Sr. burned for Football.
Art Model burned for Football.
Al Lerner not so much - two words - Manchester United
In Model's case, so much so that he's rather move his team, taking financial incentives thus allowing him to continue being an owner. His other option was to sell the team to an owner with deep pockets (Learner).
This guy, Scott Raab is wrapped up a bit to much in the Cleveland Pro Sports scene. I've moved on from the Lebron Hater thing. Don't get me wrong. I still refer to him as LeQuit, LeChoke, LeBrick ad nausium. I'm in a place of not caring if he get a ring or gets run over by a bus, either way it's OK.
For me personally, I'd rather grab my shotgun and shoot a couple rounds of sporting clays or trap than watch professional sports. Cleveland is one town that doesn't provide enough sport performance for the price of the ticket.
It's just part of Urban life. Cleveland Life if you want to risk it. When I lived in Clevehood I had fifteen gun and eight thousand rounds of ammunition just in case.
