The Beachland is beloved. Many people have changed their lives for it. Moved into the neighborhood for it. Spent money in the neighborhood because of it. Risked starting up businesses for it.
The fact of the matter is that the Beachland is a poorly run business. Should we make exceptions for local businesses just because they don't pay attention to the details?
It's a tough question that needs to be answered, and I think in this case - yes. An exception needs to be made for the Beachland. We need to come together as a community - as a city - as a region - and make an exception for a local business that brings people into Cleveland - not only from the suburbs, but from the entire region and other states.
Professionals and politicians alike who've gone to shows need to extend their hand - and help them out - not necessarily with money, but with professional advice, and perhaps a little forgiveness (or an interest free payment plan).
And the owners need to shape up their business acumen. It's rare that a business (as poorly run) gets so much love.
Let's not squander this opportunity to keep Cleveland rockin'!
