His "people" should supply a set of questions to ask and give that to the moderator ahead of time so they can incorporate their own questions into it. They should be prepared so THIS doesn't happen. He could have done more. Even if you ask a yes or no question, he has done this type of thing enough that he could expand or share a non related story, etc.... to keep it going especially if he saw she was struggling. It doesn't just make her look bad.
