That is nothing but a gratuitous and unfair statement. I, unfortunately, don't watch much local news. I do personally know one of the personalities at Channel 19. He is a hard worker, an expert in his field and tries very hard to give people the information they want. He is serious about doing the best and most ethical work he can do. For the most part the people who work at these stations honestly try to do the best they can. It can be an overwhelming job with pressure from every direction including directions you never thought of until they hit you. Your gratuitous mocking of these people is very unfair to them. If you have a gripe tell us what it is. Blanket negative statements are not helpful to anyone.

What possible connection does the City of Cleveland hiring this guy have to do with what happened? It is not like they hired a known drunk who then drove a city vehicle into someone and killed them. The killing of his wife had absolutely nothing to do with his job with the City. The city is attempting to give second chances to people with criminal records. By hiring them the city often helps to prevent them from returning to crime because they cannot get a job due to their record. If no employer would hire someone who had previously engaged in domestic violence that would lead to severe social problems for everyone. It would be one thing to hire someone who was a thief to handle lots of money but to hire someone to work in an office who was guilty of domestic violence is very likely not a risk to the people they come in contact with.

We must give the police a little bit of room to operate. They are kept under very tight control to start with so a little room has to be provided. I don't see any evidence of an overreaction here. Pepper balls sent a message. Nobody was injured nor would it be prudent to assume anyone would. Their eyes burn for a bit. Gets their attention when need be. The proof is they just quiet down and everything reverts to where it should be. I support the police decision in this matter.

I used to go to the studio as a guest of Ernie and watch there. There were no seats or anything. Just hang out.

The penalty for public corruption should be the death penalty. That might slow them down a little.
