A Definitive Biopic

When: Sat., Jan. 17 2015
Beat writer William Burroughs was a mercurial figure. His most famous work Naked Lunch is a strange stream-of-consciousness novel that is nearly inscrutable. His life is the subject of Burroughs: The Movie, a documentary film that was originally a NYU thesis film before becoming an art house hit. It’s now considered the definitive Burroughs biopic — and Burroughs even participated in the project. It screens tonight at 8:50 at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque and then shows again at 8:10 tomorrow night. Tickets are $9. (Niesel)
